Kirstie Somerville

Kirstie Somerville has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Kirstie'smost recent role is as Head of Finance at Story Contracting Limited, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Border Group Ltd in various roles, including Management Accountant and Financial Business Consultant.

In 2018, Kirstie joined SP Training as Finance Director, where they were responsible for managing financial operations, preparing financial reports, and overseeing sales and purchase ledgers. Kirstie also held positions as Director of Finance and Administration and Head of Finance and Administration at SP Training.

Before joining SP Training, Kirstie served as a Commercial & Finance Manager at WYG Group, where they implemented and managed financial systems and processes, performed management accounting tasks, and communicated financial data to senior management.

Earlier in their career, Kirstie worked as a Finance & Commercial Director at North Associates and as an Associate and Business Adviser at David Allen. Kirstie also gained experience at organizations such as Eden District Council, Center Parcs, and Cumbrian newspapers.

Throughout their career, Kirstie has demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and tax advisory. Kirstie has a strong track record of implementing efficiency measures and contributing to the success of the organizations they have worked for.

Kirstie Somerville earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Administration from Northumbria University in 1998. Prior to this, they completed a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Finance and IT at Carlisle College in 1998. In 2013, Kirstie pursued further education at ICAEW, obtaining an ACA qualification. Additionally, from 2005 to 2013, they pursued the ACCA degree from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
