Wayne Schwickerath

Wayne Schwickerath has extensive experience in property assessment, currently serving as the Story County Assessor since January 2004. Prior to this role, Wayne held the position of Deputy Assessor in Polk County for a brief period in late 2003. Wayne’s career in assessment began in Chickasaw County, where Wayne worked from January 1974 until October 2003 in various roles including Data Processing Manager, Assessor, and Deputy Assessor. Wayne holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Accounting from North Iowa Area Community College and attended Upper Iowa University from 1988 to 1990.
