Diedre Downing has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in education and learning. Diedre is currently the Chief Learning Officer at StoryIQ, where they are responsible for developing and mentoring a global team of facilitators and course developers. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Learning Experiences at StoryIQ, where they focused on designing engaging and practical courses.
Before joining StoryIQ, Diedre worked as a Lead Trainer and Country Manager (USA) at a training company, where they specialized in data visualization, storytelling with data, and data influencing.
Earlier in their career, Diedre served as an Adjunct Lecturer at City University of New York, teaching graduate students methods and strategies for secondary math instruction. Diedre also worked at the NYC Department of Education as the Director of Digital Content & Instruction and Senior Manager of Online and Blended Learning. In these roles, they oversaw the development and sharing of digital content for educators and implemented blended learning strategies.
Diedre's teaching experience includes being a high school math teacher at the NYC iSchool, where they focused on data-driven mastery in an exploratory classroom.

Diedre Downing graduated from Fordham University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Diedre then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Teaching (MST) with a focus on Secondary Mathematics Education at Pace University, where they studied from 2005 to 2007. After completing their master's degree, Diedre furthered their education by obtaining a certification in School Building Leadership from The College of St. Rose in 2008.
In addition to their formal education, Diedre acquired a certification in Data Storytelling for Business from StoryIQ in April 2023.
