Mark Pasternak

Mark Pasternak has extensive experience in engineering and technology leadership roles. Mark has held positions at various companies, including Storytel, Discovery Inc, Epidemic Sound, Schibsted Media Group, Klarna, Ooyala, Dreams Nordic AB, Cancerfonden, Universum Communications, and Avega Group AB.

At Storytel, Mark is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer, leading the technology and co-leading the Product & Tech organization.

Prior to that, they were the Head of Technology at Storytel, where they had a similar role in leading the technology team.

At Discovery Inc, Mark served as the Director of Engineering, responsible for the Content Editorial Platform and managing multiple teams in Stockholm and London.

Before that, at Epidemic Sound, they held the position of Director of Engineering and Interim Director of Product, contributing to the reinvention of the music industry.

Mark has also worked at Schibsted Media Group as the Director of Engineering, leading the Core News Product and the engineering editorial solutions.

Their experience includes roles at Klarna as an Engineering Manager, at Ooyala as a Senior Engineering Manager, at Dreams Nordic AB as a Partner/VP Engineering, at Cancerfonden as a Tech Lead (consultant), at Universum Communications as the Chief Technology Officer, and at Avega Group AB as a Senior Consultant.

Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated their ability to lead and manage large teams, implement innovative technologies, and contribute to successful business growth.

Mark Pasternak attended Stockholm University from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science.
