Elvin Salerno is a Senior Signal Processing Researcher at STR, with a background in quantum molecular materials and extensive research experience. Previously, Elvin served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, focusing on electron magnetic resonance. At the University of Michigan, Elvin completed a PhD in Physical Chemistry, conducting dissertation research under Vincent Pecoraro on the optical and magnetic properties of rare earth molecular materials, as well as working with Roseanne Sension on ultrafast transient absorption spectroscopy of cobalamin molecules. Additional research experience includes visiting positions at Université Paris-Saclay and Universidade de Aveiro, along with pedagogical roles at Wichita State University and Kansas public schools. Elvin holds a BS in Chemistry with a minor in mathematics from Wichita State University.
