Thomas Tu

Thomas Tu is a Senior Scientist at STR since October 2021, with a strong background in applied mathematics and data-driven technologies. Prior to this role, Thomas served as a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles from September 2016 to September 2021, during which Thomas completed a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics. Thomas also held various positions, including Research Intern at HRL Laboratories, where Thomas developed safe controllers for autonomous vehicles, and Data Scientist at Neural Analytics, focusing on robotic control software for ultrasound probes. Earlier experience includes a Software Development Intern role at TRILLIUM - Labs - Trading - Funds, contributing to market manipulation detection tools. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2016.
