Ron Weiss

Ron Weiss is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in synthetic biology. Currently serving as a Professor and Associate Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since July 2009, Ron Weiss co-founded Strand Therapeutics in May 2018. Prior to this, Ron Weiss held the position of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Princeton University from September 2001 to August 2009. Ron Weiss earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in synthetic biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1992 and 2001 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Economics from Brandeis University, obtained in 1992.
