Michael Carl

Michael Carl has a diverse work experience in the field of data protection and storage engineering. Michael started their career at CP Ships in 2001 as an AS/400 IT System Operations, where they were responsible for maintaining and monitoring various systems and performing daily backups. Michael then joined Verizon Business in 2006 as a Systems Storage Engineer, using EMC Legato NetWorker to maintain and troubleshoot backups. In 2008, they joined Pricewaterhousecoopers as a Systems Storage Engineer, focusing on Netbackup implementation and support. Michael then moved to EMC in 2011 as a Delivery Specialist, where they designed and implemented backup and recovery technologies for enterprise and commercial customers. Currently, they are working at Strategic Business Systems (SBS) as a Data Protection Technical Consultant.

Michael Carl attended Hillsborough Community College from 1994 to 1998, where they earned an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems. Michael then went on to the University of South Florida from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems.
