Bryan Bender

Bryan Bender has extensive work experience in the field of journalism and communications. Bryan currently holds the position of Vice President for Communications Strategy at Strategic Marketing Innovations, Inc. (SMI) since January 2023. Bryan is also an Advisor at Americans for Safe Aerospace starting from March 2023. Additionally, Bryan has served as an Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University - Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication since January 2018.

Previously, they worked as a Senior National Correspondent and Defense Editor at POLITICO from March 2015 to January 2023. Prior to that, Bryan worked as a National Security Reporter at The Boston Globe from September 2001 to March 2015. Bryan also held the role of Washington Bureau Chief at Jane's Defence Weekly from 1997 to 2000.

Aside from their journalism work, Bryan has also authored books, starting from November 2010 at Penguin Random House.

Bryan Bender earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science/English from the University of Pittsburgh between 1990 and 1994.
