Nate’s passion for politics began as a child knocking doors in Helena, Montana, and grew through college where he built a successful nonpartisan voter registration drive. He also served as President of the Juniata College Democrats. As President, he recruited volunteers for the 2016 Pennsylvania Democratic Coordinated Campaign and coordinated a Get-Out-The-Vote movement that turned out 60-percent of the student body.
After graduating from Juniata College with a degree in Politics, Nate returned to his Montana roots and began working for Senator Jon Tester (D-MT). Nate began answering phones as a Staff Assistant before becoming a Legislative Aide. In that position, he worked to advance the Senator’s postal reform, energy, environment, public lands, and Indian affairs agenda. Nate also gained substantial experience working on appropriations and writing forward-facing policy messaging detailing the Senator’s positions to his constituents.
In his free time, Nate enjoys waking up early to watch Liverpool play soccer and getting heartbroken by the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs. He also loves going on backpacking trips, overestimating his abilities in the kitchen, and traveling back to Montana.
