Derek Gesin, SASM

Derek Gesin, SASM has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2006. Derek began their career as a Senior Corporate Recruiter for Omni Financial in 2006, then moved on to work as a Web and Media Designer for The English Academy in 2010. In 2012, they became a UX Designer and Study Coordinator for the Library of Congress - Teaching with Primary Sources. In 2013, they worked as a UX Designer and Researcher for Digital First Media, and then as a Senior User Experience Designer for Applied Technical Systems in 2014. Most recently, Derek has held three roles at Stratera Technologies since 2018: Vice President Operations and Infrastructure, Director of Product Management, and Product and UX Manager.

Derek Gesin, SASM has a diverse educational background. Derek obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Technical Communication - Interactive Media Production from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Theatre/Theater from the University of Colorado Boulder. Additionally, Derek has obtained several certifications, including an IoT - Maximo Corrective Maintenance certification from IBM in August 2020, a Certified SAFe 5 Advanced Scrum Master certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in May 2021, and a Certified SAFe 5 Scrum Master certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in February 2021.
