Peter Buchanan

Peter Buchanan has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Peter started their career as a Reservoir Engineering Summer Student at Provident Energy Ltd. in 2007. Peter then worked as a Field Relief Operator at ConocoPhillips in 2008. Peter joined Vermilion Energy in 2009 as an Exploitation Engineering Co-op Student. Peter further expanded their skills at Suncor Energy, where they worked as a Reservoir Engineering Co-op Student in 2010 and later as a Field Production Engineer and Reservoir Engineer from 2011 to 2013. Peter then joined Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) in 2013, where they held various roles, including CSS Production Engineer, Production Development Engineer, and SAGD Production Engineer until 2021. Most recently, they began working as a Production Engineer at Serafina Energy Ltd. in 2021, and they currently hold the same position at Strathcona Resources Ltd. starting in 2022.

Peter Buchanan completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta, where they studied from 2006 to 2011. Later, from 2017 to 2020, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at the University of Calgary.
