Mário Fernandes

Mário Fernandes has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Mário is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Stratio, a position they have held since June 2022. Previously, Mário worked at Merkle DACH from 2017 to 2022, where they held two roles. As a Senior Software Engineer, they worked in an agile environment to create and design new .NET Core and .NET 5 Rest APIs using Onion Architecture. Additionally, they served as a Senior .NET Developer, where they designed and created a globally scaled product using microservices architecture and domain-driven design approach.

Before that, Mário worked at Alter Frame Portugal in 2016 as a .NET Developer on outsourcing in CTT. Mário also had a brief stint at Edge Innovation in 2016 as a .NET Developer on outsourcing in BankInter and Cerner. At Edge Innovation, they applied and acquired knowledge in Silverlight applications and worked with C# back-end code, Microsoft SQL Server, Entity Framework, and Web Services.

Prior to that, Mário worked at Smart Consulting - Delivering IT from 2015 to 2016 as a .NET Developer on outsourcing in Caixa Geral de Depositos. In this role, they continued to improve their back-end .NET Developer skills and developed new applications for the Document Management sector, using Entity Framework for relational data and object-relational mapping.

In 2013, Mário worked at Glintt as a .NET Developer on outsourcing in COFIDIS. Mário maintained and developed new features for the company's Web-Portal, working with the DotNetNuke Framework. Mário also worked with SOAP-based Web Services, Windows Services, WCF, and T-SQL development.

Mário's earliest work experience was at Cofidis, where they served as a .NET Developer intern in 2013. Here, they gained an introduction to business and finance concepts and worked with the DotNetNuke Framework and Three-Layer Architecture, focusing on T-SQL and SQL Server Integration Services.

Mário Fernandes completed their Bachelor's degree in Informatics Engineering from the Instituto Politécnico de Bragança from 2008 to 2013. In 2011, they participated in the Erasmus Program at the John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics, Óbuda University in Budapest, Hungary. During their time there, they also took two special courses, one in Modern Networks Solutions and another in Internet Security in the same year.
