Rafael Couto

Rafael Couto has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting from their most recent position, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at Stratio. In this role, they developed tools and libraries to enhance developer experience, set up CI/CD pipelines, monitored and troubleshooted all CI/CD activities, automated tasks, and wrote technical documentation. Rafael also worked at C4G - Collaboratory for Geosciences as a Full Stack Engineer, where they worked on various projects related to geosciences.

Before that, they worked as an IT Consultant at Geometral S.A., where they developed an innovative solution and maintained the company's website and internal platforms.

Rafael's earlier experiences include working as a Researcher at ALLab - Assisted Living Computing and Telecommunications Laboratory, where they were involved in the development of technological platforms.

Rafael also worked as a Software Engineer at IS2you, Intelligent Systems, where they managed a project and its team, and at Politénico da Guarda as a trainee.

Their earliest work experience was a summer internship at ATS - Sistemas de Tecnologia Avançada.

Rafael Couto completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Universidade da Beira Interior, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Rafael then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in the same field from the same university, completing it from 2013 to 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Rafael has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Rafael received the "IELTS Academic 7th Band" certification from the British Council in September 2012. In November 2011, they obtained the "CCNA Network Fundamentals" certification from Cisco. Rafael has also obtained multiple certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including "Well-Architected Proficient" in March 2022, "AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate 2020" in July 2021, "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" in September 2021, and "AWS Certified Developer - Associate" in December 2021.
