Shawn Patrick Doyle has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Shawn Patrick began their career as a Staff Assistant at the English Department of Harvard University in 2001. Shawn Patrick then went on to work as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa from 2005 to 2008.
In 2008, Shawn joined Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth where they worked as an Instructor until 2012. Shawn Patrick later transitioned to Cornell College as a Writing Consultant for First-year Students, a position they held from 2008 to 2015.
Seeking a new challenge, Shawn enrolled in the Full-stack Web Developer training at The New York Code + Design Academy in 2015. During this intensive three-month program, they acquired skills in full-stack web development and completed several projects.

In 2016, Shawn also worked as a Developer at Measurement Vault, a 3D-imaging/data-storage start-up. In this role, they were responsible for building the company's demo site, pitching the product to initial investors, and integrating external APIs. Shawn Patrick also taught himself the skills needed to load and show 3D models and measurements in the browser.
Since 2017, Shawn has been working at STRATIS IoT, initially as a Software Engineer and later as a Software Engineer III. Shawn Patrick currently holds the position of Director of Culture and also serves as the Dev Manager. In this dual role, Shawn focuses on strengthening the code and the people of the organization. Shawn Patrick works on developing new features related to access regulation and cultivates an environment of safety and belonging, from the hiring process to career advancement within the company.
Shawn Patrick Doyle received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and Government from the University of Notre Dame, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Shawn Patrick then pursued their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in English at the University of Iowa, from 2004 to 2008. In 2015, they attended the New York Code + Design Academy, specializing in full-stack web development. No degree was specified for their studies at the academy.
