Bidong Qian

Bidong Qian has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Bidong began their career in 1983 as a Teaching Assistant at Yangzhou University, where they taught until 1993. During this time, they also served as a Visiting Scholar at Peking University from 1991 to 1992. In 1993, Bidong Qian worked as a Visiting Research Scientist at The Institute of Physical and Chemical Research. Bidong then joined Infologic, Inc. in 1996 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed web applications and VB applications. In 2000, they worked as a Software/Database Engineer at Chorum Technologies until 2003, when they became a Software Development Manager at Infologic, Inc. until 2006. Bidong Qian then worked as a Software Development Manager at Humble Instruments & Services, Inc. from 2006 to 2007. From 2007 until 2019, they served as a Software Architect at Weatherford International. Currently, Bidong Qian is employed as a Solutions Architect at Stratum Reservoir, where they work on data migration, lab process optimization, algorithm implementation, and data analytics using machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.

Bidong Qian attended Beijing Normal University from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry. Later, from 1996 to 1997, Bidong Qian pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas.
