Steve Topp has over 30 years of experience in sales and sales management roles in the telecommunications industry. Steve began their career with a series of roles at Data Comm Networking, Gandalf Systems, and Rhythms from 1990 to 2001. During this time, they held various sales and sales management positions.
In 2001, Topp joined Earthlink Business as a Sales Director and later transitioned to the role of Senior Account Executive at New Edge Networks, a subsidiary of Earthlink Co. At New Edge Networks, they specialized in providing communications consulting to multi-location companies in industries such as retail, insurance, manufacturing, financial, and healthcare. Steve'sresponsibilities included offering solutions such as MPLS, IP, SIP/Hosted VoIP, Cloud Security, and redundant networks.
In 2011, Topp joined Janrain, Inc. as the Director of Retail Sales, where they managed the Midwest region and oversaw the retail vertical channel. Janrain provides a software-as-a-service user management platform, and Topp was responsible for improving user acquisition and engagement through social login, social sharing, and profile data storage solutions.
Most recently, Topp served as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Stratus Networks, starting in 2012. Stratus Networks is a boutique fiber optic network company that operates in the central United States. Topp played a key role in developing long-term relationships and interconnection agreements with carriers throughout the country.
Throughout their career, Topp has consistently demonstrated their expertise in sales and marketing within the telecommunications industry, with a focus on client-driven solutions and building strong relationships with customers.
Steve Topp obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Northern Illinois University, where they studied from 1987 to 1990.
