William Dowds has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. William started their career as an Autodin Patch and Test Technician in the United States Air Force, where they were responsible for digital fault isolation and restoration of circuits. William also monitored and maintained digital communication systems in support of the White House. After leaving the military, they worked as a Technical Support Manager at MCI Corporation, providing technical pre-sale and post-sale support to government customers. William also served as a project manager for various installations. From there, they joined Avaya as a Sales Engineer, where they provided pre-sale support, managed customer relationships, and analyzed customer requirements. Most recently, they worked as a Sales Engineer at Calabrio and Stratus Networks. Overall, William has a wealth of experience in technical support, customer relations, and sales engineering.
William Dowds attended Illinois Central College from 1989 to 1990, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering. William did not obtain a degree from this institution. In terms of additional certifications, William obtained various certifications related to cloud computing and devops from LinkedIn in 2018.
