Director of Business Compliance at Stratus Properties

Moira Rey is currently the Director of Business Compliance at Stratus Properties Inc. since 2022. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2022, they held the same position at Stratus Properties / ACL Live. In this role, they were responsible for risk management for all LLCs and properties, including the W Hotel Austin. Moira also coordinated monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reporting and handled HR and bi-weekly payroll for ACL Live's 100+ hourly staff.

Before joining Stratus Properties, Moira worked at Transmission Events as the Director of Operations from 2014 to 2016. During this time, they supervised operations for three different markets and developed and reviewed operating policies to optimize efficiency. Moira also worked with accounting partners to ensure proper bookkeeping and audit procedures.

Prior to that, Moira held roles as the Operations Manager at Transmission Events for a brief period in 2014 and as the Social Media Manager at Booyo Inc from 2013 to 2014. Moira also worked as a Lighting Designer for Explosions In The Sky from August 2013 to November 2013.

Earlier in their career, Moira worked at Creative Scotland as an Investment Officer for a few months in 2010 and at the Scottish Arts Council in various roles including Olympic 2012 & Commonwealth 2014 Programme Co-ordinator and Grants Co-ordinator from 2007 to 2010. Moira also worked at Three as a Collections Advisor from 2006 to 2007 and at the Royal Bank of Scotland as a Direct Banking Customer Service Adviser from 2003 to 2006.

Moira Rey, SHRM-CP, has a Bachelor's Degree in Arts & Social Science from the University of Strathclyde, which they earned from 2002 to 2005. In 2011 to 2012, they also obtained an HNC in Technical Theatre from Glasgow Kelvin College. Additionally, Moira has received the SHRM-CP certification from the institution SHRM, although the specific month and year of obtaining the certification are not provided.
