Shereen Mahnami has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Starting in 1993, they worked as a freelance reporter and producer, focusing on general news and sports. In 1998, they joined the California Medical Association as a Media Relations Assistant, where they assisted with drafting press releases and coordinating media interviews.

From 1999 to 2000, Shereen worked at Blattel Communications, a boutique PR and marketing agency, where they implemented national B2B campaigns for clients in the legal and finance industries. Shereen then moved on to Porter Novelli, a full-service PR agency, where they served as an Account Executive and managed national B2B campaigns for early-stage technology companies.

In 2001, Shereen lived, traveled, and worked abroad, earning certificates in teaching English to non-native speakers and teaching English as a second language to various groups. Upon returning to the US, they worked as a Publicist/Strategist as a self-employed individual, developing communication strategies for B2B and B2C programs.

In 2004, Shereen joined TORME LAURICELLA, a marketing and PR firm, where they executed national consumer PR and marketing campaigns for clients in the food and beverage, nutrition, health, and hospitality industries. The following year, they joined Ketchum, a global PR and communications firm, where they held various roles such as Senior Account Executive, Account Supervisor, and Vice President/Client Director. During their time at Ketchum, they led integrated PR and marketing campaigns for agricultural commodities and food and beverage brands.

In 2016, Shereen worked as an Independent Marketing Communications Consultant, providing counsel and implementing communication and marketing strategies for businesses in the lifestyle, food, and wellness sectors. Shereen then transitioned to Straus Family Creamery in 2017, where they served as the Director of Communications, overseeing communication efforts for the organic dairy products brand.

Shereen Mahnami has a diverse education history. Shereen obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Marketing from California State University, Long Beach. Shereen attended this university for an unspecified period of time.

In 2007 to 2008, Shereen attended Bauman College: Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts, where they focused on becoming a Nutrition Educator. However, they did not obtain a specific degree from this college.

Prior to that, from 1995 to 1997, Shereen attended The A.C.T. Conservatory. During their time there, they completed Studio Classes in Acting & Playwriting and earned a degree referred to as "Studio Classes."

In addition to their formal education, Shereen has obtained various certifications. In September 2012, they became a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher through training led by Pete Guinosso at Yoga Tree San Francisco. In September 2008, they obtained a Nutrition Certification developed by Ketchum in collaboration with Tufts University. Shereen also holds CTESOL and Advanced CTESOL certificates (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) obtained in September 2001 from TRANSWORLD SCHOOLS.
