Senior Data Scientist at Stride Funding

James Kohout has a diverse work experience. James began their career in 2013 as a Technology Intern at Melita Ltd. In 2014, they worked as a Junior Software Developer at 6PM Solutions. From 2015-2017, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Warwick, where they developed a mathematical model to study the dynamics of atoms moving around on a graphene sheet and investigated properties of fault lines in liquid crystals. From 2017-2022, they were a Doctoral Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the University of Oxford. James'smain focus during their PhD was studying optimization algorithms for partial differential equations, leading to one peer reviewed paper and five presentations at international conferences. Currently, they are working as a Data Scientist at Stride Funding.

James Kohout's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy - DPhil from the University of Oxford, which they obtained in 2022 after studying Partial Differential Equations. James also holds an MMath from the University of Warwick, which they obtained in 2017 after studying Mathematics. Additionally, they have obtained four certifications from Coursera, including Convolutional Neural Networks (March 2022), Neural Networks and Deep Learning (February 2022), Structuring Machine Learning Projects (February 2022), and Machine Learning (October 2021).
