Yasir K. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Yasir is currently the Founder and CEO of StrikeReady since May 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Threat Intelligence and Operations at Blue Hexagon Inc. from 2018 to 2019.

Yasir also gained significant experience at FireEye, Inc., where they held various roles. Yasir started as a Software QA Engineer in May 2011 and later became a Senior Malware Analyst at Ebryx SMC (Pvt.) Ltd in January 2011. Yasir then joined Palmchip as a Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer from 2008 to 2011, where they primarily focused on network and intrusion detection solutions, malware analysis, and research on web-based attacks and vulnerabilities.

At FireEye, they took on several positions, including Senior Principal Research Scientist from August 2015 to February 2018. In this role, they led research efforts, oversaw the detection efficacy of FireEye's technology, and served as a liaison between different teams. As a Staff Research Scientist Engineer from January 2014 to July 2015, they made significant contributions by re-architecting the core traffic analysis and detection component of NX product line. Yasir also prioritized and planned engine releases and improved detection efficacy in the Email security product line. Yasir had previous roles as a Sr. Research Scientist Engineer from November 2012 to December 2013 and as a Software QA Engineer from May 2011 to November 2012.

Yasir began their career as an internee at ENMAC Pvt Ltd, Lahore, where they compiled data on timing of daily prayers and programmed software in C.

Yasir K. completed their O-Levels in Science at Keynesian Institute of Management & Sciences (KIMS) in Lahore from 1998 to 2001. After that, they pursued their Intermediate degree in Pre-Engineering at Government F.C College in Lahore from 2001 to 2003. Finally, they went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology in Lahore from 2004 to 2008.
