Natalie Charlton

Natalie Charlton has a strong background in legal roles. Natalie is currently the Commercial Legal Team Lead at Stripe, where they built and now leads a team that supports third party technology transactions, strategic partnerships, and vendor engagements. Natalie is also responsible for scaling the commercial legal function and ensuring global compliance. Prior to this, Natalie was a Commercial Counsel at Stripe, where they supported third party technology transactions and created a global assessment framework for third party engagements.

Before joining Stripe, Natalie was Head of Legal (Managing Counsel) at Infobip (formerly OpenMarket), negotiating strategic technology transactions and ensuring compliance with data security and contracts management best practices. Natalie also served as the North America Corporate Counsel for OpenMarket, where they drafted and negotiated complex commercial contracts and ensured compliance with telecommunications regulations.

Natalie started their career as a Litigation Associate at MDK Law and later worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as a Senior Officer and Officer in Contracts, representing various teams in commercial contract negotiations and advising on technology licensing and services agreements.

Natalie Charlton completed their education with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Law and Society with a minor in Professional Writing with Technical Editing emphasis from UC Santa Barbara from 1999 to 2003. Natalie attended Rocklin High School before entering college. Furthermore, Natalie Charlton has additional certifications, including the California Bar obtained in 2013 from the State Bar of California and the Washington Bar obtained in 2008 from the Washington State Bar Association.
