Jani Tamminen

Jani Tamminen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jani started their career at Biohit Oyj as a Production Manager, where they conducted research and product development for diagnostic tests. In 2001, they transitioned to Sun Lines Oy, initially as a Marketing Manager, and later as the Managing Director. During their time at Sun Lines, they managed various activities including sightseeing and dinner cruises, charter and theme cruises, and ferry operations. In 2010, they joined Oy Strömma Helsinki Ab (formerly Charter Sun Lines Oy), where they continued as the Managing Director, overseeing the administration and operations of sightseeing and charter cruises, as well as the addition of sightseeing bus operations. Currently, Jani holds the position of Deputy Managing Director & Operative Director at Stromma Finland Oy Ab, a company specializing in sightseeing experiences and entertainment across Europe. Jani'smain responsibilities include the operative management of ship and bus operations in Helsinki, focusing on customer service and quality.

Jani Tamminen has a diverse education history. Jani started their educational journey at the Linikkala High School in Forssa from 1986 to 1989.

In 1990, Jani enrolled at the Hämeenlinna Institute of Business and Information Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Banking. Jani completed this program in 1992.

After completing their bachelor's degree, Jani pursued international business training at the Business College in Forssa for a brief period in 1993.

From 1994 to 1998, Jani attended the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Biotechnology.

Then, in 2006 to 2008, Jani furthered their education by completing a Specialist Qualification in Entrepreneurship at Rastor Oy, gaining expertise in entrepreneurial and small business operations.

In more recent years, Jani returned to academic pursuits. In 2020 to 2021, they earned a Master's degree in Service Business Leadership and Development at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, during the same period, they obtained a Master's degree in Hospitality Management from the same institution.

Jani also holds several additional certifications. In 2014, they earned a Professional qualification for managing national and international passenger transport from AEL. Furthermore, they obtained a Situational Leadership certification from Situational Services Nordic AB in 2017. In 2020, Jani acquired a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (ICYB) certification from LeanValmennus.fi. Lastly, in 2021, they received a Service Design Accreditation from the Service Design Network. Most recently, in 2023, Jani obtained a Sustainability Certificate from Travelife for Tour Operators.
