Matthew Altberg has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Research and Development Engineering Intern at Warren Industries in 2016. Matthew then interned as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Energold Drilling Corp in 2017, followed by another internship as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Neptec Technologies Corp. In 2018, they took on the position of Propulsion Manager at Queen's Hyperloop Design Team, where they led a group in building a successful propulsion system for the team's pod, resulting in an invitation to the Hyperloop Competition at SpaceX. Matthew then worked at Broadridge Canada as an Associate Programmer Analyst, where they updated the codebase to allow for translations. This work led him to their current role as a DevOps Engineer at Broadridge, where they developed DevOps technology, automated deployments, and improved developer workflows. In 2021, they joined ThoughtExchange as a DevOps Engineer, focusing on DevOps tasks and full-stack features. Matthew'swork included implementing AWS Load Balancer Controller, improving provisioning scripts, and unifying testing environments. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Strong Analytics since 2022.
Matthew Altberg attended Queen's University from 2014 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In February 2018, they also obtained a Canadian Securities Course (CSC) certification from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI).
