Aleyea Mogilles is a dedicated student intern at Tulane University, where responsibilities include assisting with author selections and coordinating communications for the New Orleans Book Festival. In a leadership role as Vice President at Strong City, duties involve managing operational tasks and overseeing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. Aleyea has also contributed as a Development Intern with a focus on fundraising events, volunteer management, and budgeting. Previous experience includes serving as a cashier at Mchardy’s Chicken and Fixin’, coordinating large holiday orders, and interning at SisterLove, where research and policy brief writing on Black Maternal Mortality were key tasks. Additional internships include a position with the President's Office at Tulane University and the Legal Department at Liberty Bank and Trust Company. Aleyea is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government at Tulane University, having completed secondary education at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans.
