Andrew Freund

Andrew Freund has a strong background in software development and technical support. Andrew started their career at Abbott Laboratories in 1999 as a Programmer and later became an Application Support Administrator. Andrew led a team and oversaw the conversion of a large FDA reporting system. Andrew also provided support and administration for multiple client/server and web applications.

In 2005, Andrew joined Hospira as a Programmer Analyst. Andrew developed enhancements for various web and client/server applications and supported the upgrade of the MatrixOne PLM system.

Returning to Abbott Laboratories in 2010, Andrew worked as a Senior Systems Analyst, implementing maintenance releases and assisting with performance testing projects. Andrew then transitioned to the role of IT Technical Specialist, providing technical expertise and support for system integrations and performance issues.

Since 2015, Andrew has been working at Strongpoint Partners. Andrew initially joined as a Senior Software Developer, leading the development of a web-based HR platform. Currently, they hold the position of EHC Director of Technology.

Throughout their career, Andrew has gained experience with various technologies such as C#, ASP.NET MVC, Kendo UI, jQuery, IIS, SQL Server, Eclipse, Java, Tomcat, and Oracle. Andrew has a strong focus on problem-solving, analysis, and resolution of complex issues.

Andrew Freund attended McHenry County College from 1994 to 1996, where they completed a Certificate in Electronics Engineering Technology. Later, from 2005 to 2010, they enrolled in American Sentinel College, which is also known as the American College of Computer and Information Sciences (ACCIS). There, Andrew pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
