Matthé Contant

Matthé Contant has 26 years of work experience in various roles within the engineering industry. Most recently, they worked as the Lead Mechanical Engineer at STRYDE since January 2021. Prior to that, they owned their own consulting firm, Tech-C Technical Consulting Services, from April 2019 to December 2020, where they utilized their expertise in mechanical design for seismic systems and down-hole oilfield tools.

From August 2011 to June 2019, Contant served as the Lead Mechanical Engineer at WesternGeco, where they were responsible for designing and developing a one-million-sensor-land-nodal-seismic system. Matthé led a team of five mechanical engineers and was instrumental in bringing the system to the commercialization stage.

Contant also has experience as a Project Leader at Schlumberger Riboud Product Center in Paris, France from November 2004 to July 2011, a Project Manager at Schlumberger Reservoir Completion in Rosharon, TX, USA from November 2002 to October 2004, and a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Camco Completion Products in Houston, TX, USA from November 1999 to October 2002. Additionally, they held roles such as District Engineer at Schlumberger Indonesia from September 1998 to October 1999, Field Support Manager at Schlumberger Saudi Arabia from June 1997 to September 1998, and Location Manager at Schlumberger Songo-songo in Tanzania from November 1996 to May 1997.

Contant began their career as a Field Engineer at Flopetrol International S.A. in Islamabad, Pakistan from March 1995 to October 1996. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong leadership skills, innovation, and a strong background in mechanical design.

From 1986 to 1992, Matthé Contant attended Eindhoven University of Technology, where they pursued a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.
