Robert Cummings

Robert is responsible for our global tax function, including tax planning, accounting for income taxes and tax compliance and reporting.

Robert joined Stryker in January 2013 as a senior manager responsible for accounting for global income taxes before being promoted to director of global tax accounting in 2014. In 2016, Robert was promoted to senior director of global tax accounting and compliance and assumed responsibility for Stryker’s global income tax compliance. Before joining us, he spent 14 years in a variety of roles in the tax function at Dow, a global chemical manufacturer.

He began his career in public accounting after receiving his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ferris State University. He also holds an MBA from the University of Michigan. Robert is a certified public accountant, a member of the Michigan Association of CPAs and a member of the Tax Executives Institute.
