Kristin Gerdes

Kristin Gerdes is a seasoned professional in audiovisual translation and quality control, currently serving as the German Co-Language Lead, Subtitler, and QC Specialist at Plint since November 2016. Gerdes also works as a German Subtitler for Berlin Producers Media GmbH and has been a lecturer at University College London, focusing on English to German subtitling and related modules. With extensive experience since 2002 at SUBS Hamburg, Gerdes specializes in subtitling for cinema and festival releases. Additional roles include Audiovisual/Multimedia Translator for Imagineear, interim DACH / Benelux Language Manager for Netflix at Magnit, and Subtitler & Proofreader at BTI Studios (now Iyuno Media). Gerdes has a robust academic background with an MA in Translation from Universität des Saarlandes, encompassing English, French, and German languages alongside a minor in Law.
