Stephane D'Astous has a diverse and extensive work experience in the tech industry. Stephane is currently the Director of Operations at Studio KRAFTON Montréal, a position they started in 2022. Prior to this, they were the Owner and President of D'Astous Management, where they offered consulting services based on their 30 years of experience in various strategic and operational roles in tech companies.
From 2020 to 2022, D'Astous served as the General Manager at QUANTIC DREAM, where they played a crucial role in establishing and leading the studio in Montréal. Stephane was responsible for managing day-to-day operations, implementing project management best practices, and overseeing human resource management.
Before their time at QUANTIC DREAM, D'Astous worked as the General Manager at Novaquark from 2019 to 2020, where they spearheaded the successful launch of the studio and recruited a team for the development of their ambitious MMO game.
Other notable positions include COO at Minority Media, General Manager at Float4, and Executive Producer at Moment Factory. However, D'Astous is most recognized for their role as the founder and General Manager of Eidos-Montréal, where they built and led the second-largest video game development studio in Montréal. During their tenure, they successfully launched multiple projects and established centers of excellence.
Earlier in their career, D'Astous held the position of Director of Operations & PMO at Ubisoft Montréal, where they contributed to the studio's rapid expansion and strategic planning.
Throughout their career, D'Astous has demonstrated expertise in areas such as strategic analysis, project evaluation and planning, talent recruitment, organizational management, and public relations. Stephane is known for their passion, leadership skills, and ability to drive growth and innovation in the tech industry.
Stephane D'Astous earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Product Design from Université de Montréal in 1988. Stephane later completed an MBA in Master Degree from HEC Montréal between 1994 and 1998. In 2005, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
