Bo Bell has been working in the technology and media industry since 1996. Bo began their career as a Sound Designer and Production Manager/Technical Director at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. From 2002 to 2005, they were a Graduate Student Researcher in Media Arts at UC Santa Barbara, where they also worked as a Teaching Associate in Technical Theatre Production and a Teaching Assistant in Music & Media Arts. From 2005 to 2007, they were an Interactive Experience Designer and Audiovisual Arts Mentor at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Freelance Engineer and Product Consultant at Lucky Interactive Media. From 2010 to 2015, they were an Entrepreneur in Residence at Rose Tech Ventures. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Director of Interactive at Catch New York, and the CTO of Here-Life. From 2017 to 2018, they held the role of Business Development Manager at Tigerspike. Since 2018, Bo has been the Director of Client Engagement at StudioLabs, LLC.
Bo Bell began their educational journey at White Station High School before attending Wesleyan University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Electronic and Computer Composition in 1995. Bo then went on to pursue a Master in Music and Technology at Brooklyn College, graduating in 2002. Afterwards, Bo Bell continued their studies at UC Santa Barbara, where they were a PhD Candidate in Media Arts and Technology until 2009.
