Shelley Queen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Shelley began their career in 2008 with a features work experience at Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail Ltd. In 2010, Queen worked as a writer for Craven Publishing Ltd.

In 2011, Queen became a media researcher at BiP Solutions Ltd, where they focused on public sector procurement for the Government Opportunities website. The following year, they served as the fashion editor for The Edit magazine and also managed the blog content.

In 2013, Queen had an internship at The List Ltd, where they conducted research, organized competitions, and contributed to the website and print edition. Shelley also volunteered as a media assistant at the ITU World Triathlon Championships.

From 2014 to 2021, Queen worked at Young Scot, first as a choices for life content officer, responsible for creating content on drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and online safety, and later as a digital content assistant, creating content for various social media platforms and engaging in social listening.

Most recently, Queen joined STV Group plc in 2021 as a social media executive.

Shelley Queen attended Boclair Academy from 2004 to 2010, where they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. Following this, they enrolled at Glasgow Caledonian University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Journalism.
