Drew McKenzie has worked in a variety of roles in the tech and media industries since 2005. From 2005 to 2006, they were an Account Manager at Global Cloud, where they learned how to sell SaaS products and customized web software. From 2006 to 2010, they were a Brand Leader at Creative Department, where they learned how to apply insights to business objectives. From 2010 to 2013, they were a Digital Strategy Director at Empower, where they advised clients on how to leverage digital technology. From 2013 to 2016, they were Digital Media Director at Luxottica Group, where they advised the North America retail brand portfolio on the use of digital media and technology. From 2016 to 2018, they were Director of Product at Everything But The House, where they led the creation of Product Management and Data Science disciplines. From 2018 to 2021, they were Vice President of Innovation at Sibcy Cline Realtors. Since 2021, they have been a Mentor/EIR at the University of Cincinnati's Venture Lab, and since 2022 they have been VP of Product at Subterra.

Drew McKenzie obtained a BBA in Marketing and Management from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business. Drew also holds a High School Diploma from Troy High School. Additionally, they have a certification from Hearty Proven Members, which they obtained in August 2021.
