Suwas Walve has worked in the XR, game engineering, and game programming industries since 2016. In 2016, they worked as a Game Programming Intern at d/dx Laboratories on the Steam published HTC Vive VR Game 'The Tower: Last Stand'. Suwas also worked as a Game Engineer Intern at Sandman Studios Entertainment on the strategic Tower Defense Mobile game 'Rogue Legion: Legion of 5'. Additionally, they worked as a Game Engineer at the Therapeutic Games & Apps Lab on an App 'Tilt tracker' designed to help doctors remotely monitor patient's powered wheelchair tilts. In 2017, they worked as a Game Programmer at Dilmer Games and as a Game Engineer (AR Developer) at Tiered World Studios: The World Is Your Video Game. Since 2018, Suwas Walve has been employed at Subvrsive, where they have held the roles of Lead XR Engineer, Senior XR Engineer, Solutions Engineer III, Solutions Engineer II, and Jr. Engineer. As Lead XR Engineer, their primary responsibilities include leading engineering efforts on XR (AR, VR, MR) projects, coding, architecting reusable and efficient systems, and tech stack and performance optimization. Suwas also interfaces with production, sales, UX, creative, 3D art, and QA teams, and establishes XR team engineering processes to increase efficiency.
Suwas Walve obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology between 2011 and 2015. In 2013, they obtained a certification in 3D Game Development from Virscent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. In 2015, they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Entertainment Arts and Engineering, Game Engineering and Design from the University of Utah.
