Jesse Nicodemus has extensive work experience in the field of visual effects. Jesse started their career as a Cavalry Scout/Reconnaissance in the US Army from 2002 to 2006. After that, they worked as a Graphic Design Artist in freelance projects from 2007 to 2011. In 2010, they also worked as a VFX tutor at the Academy of Art University. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Visual Effects Artist at Luma Pictures, contributing to projects like "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." Jesse then joined Industrial Light & Magic as a Particle TD for a brief period in 2014. Jesse later worked as a Lead Visual Effects Artist at Zoic Studios from 2015 to 2016. In 2017, they were a Sr. FX Artist at Monolith Productions (WB Games) and also worked as an FX Artist at ArenaNet LLC, where they focused on look development and technique exploration for advanced GPU particle systems using Houdini. Lastly, from 2019 to the present, Jesse has been an FX Artist at Sucker Punch Productions.
Jesse Nicodemus earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Animation and Effects from the Academy of Art University, having completed their education there from 2006 to 2011.
