Paul Garrity has extensive experience in finance and administration. Paul served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, overseeing budgeting, procurement, contracting, and accounting functions. Prior to that, they were the Director of Fiscal Affairs at the Office of the State Auditor Suzanne M. Bump and the Office of the State Auditor Diana DiZoglio, where they were responsible for contract administration, procurement, and budgeting. Paul also held the position of Fiscal Director at the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, where they managed financial operations. Paul Garrity has a background in budget analysis from their time as a Budget Analyst at the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
Paul Garrity completed their high school education at Catholic Memorial High School from 1984 to 1988. Paul then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice at Westfield State University from 1988 to 1992. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Public Administration from UMass Boston from 1998 to 2000.
