Rafael Fernandes

Rafael Fernandes has extensive work experience in various roles related to software development and solution architecture. Rafael is currently working as a Principal Developer Advocate at SugarCRM. Prior to this, they worked at Infor for several years, starting as a System Analyst and progressing to roles such as Cloud System Engineer, Principal Solution Architect, and Senior Solution Architect. In their roles at Infor, they were involved in application architecture, implementation, and customization of Infor-CRM products, with expertise in enterprise-wide applications based on J2EE. Before joining Infor, Rafael had experience as a Project Leader/J2EE Architect at Brasil Telecom S/A and as an AmdocsCRM-Java/J2EE Consultant at Accenture (Brazil). Rafael also worked as a Senior Software Engineer (SME) at Amdocs Ltda, where they designed and implemented AmdocsCRM systems for telecom companies in Cyprus and Israel. Rafael started their career as a System Analyst at Supper Muffato.

Rafael Fernandes earned an MBA in Project Management and Project Leadership from UNIEURO in 2006-2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in IT from UNIVEL in 2000-2003. Rafael also holds certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021 and Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for Java 2EE (SCEA) from Sun Microsystems in 2008. In addition, they have certifications in Sun Certified Java Developer (SCJD) from Sun Microsystems in 2005 and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020.
