Christa Miller-Shelley

Christa Miller-Shelley is a seasoned professional with diverse experience in maritime and engineering roles. As Captain at Schooner Adventure since April 2023 and a Ski and Snowboard Instructor at Sugarloaf since February 2013, Christa demonstrates strong leadership and instructional skills. Previous positions include Mate at Schooner American Eagle and Deckhand on S/V Victory Chimes and for Ocean Classroom Foundation, showcasing extensive hands-on maritime expertise. Christa also has a solid engineering background, having served as a Graduate Research Assistant at AEWC Advanced Structures and Composites Center, focusing on fatigue characterization of composite materials, and as a Validation Engineer at Commissioning Agents, Inc. While pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering degree at Dartmouth College, Christa held multiple Teaching Assistantships and completed an internship at Colby Company Engineering. Christa holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine, a Bachelor of Engineering from Dartmouth College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Colby College.
