Mika T. has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2005, they began their career as a Course Assistant at the University of Helsinki, where they assisted in various courses until 2010. From 2005 to 2013, Mika worked as a Research Scientist at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, focusing on data mining techniques and participating in research and development projects.
In 2010, Mika worked as a Visiting Researcher at ICA in East China Normal University, conducting research on tag-based recommendation engines, keyword extraction, user behavior analysis, and user modeling. During this time, they contributed to a publication titled "Informativeness-based Keyword Extraction from Short Documents."
Mika joined Sulake in 2013 as a Business Intelligence Analyst, responsible for data collection and analytics for Hotel Hideaway and Habbo Hotel. Mika gained expertise in SQL, Looker, Redshift, and data warehousing, contributing to Sulake's long-term BI plans and user insight. In February 2020, Mika transitioned to the role of Lead Game Designer for Hotel Hideaway, overseeing feature development teams, roadmap planning, and game design until August 2021.
Currently, Mika serves as the Product Director for Habbo Collectibles at Sulake. Mika drives the vision, leadership, and profitability of the project, achieving noteworthy growth in revenue and player base despite market challenges. Mika thrives on pioneering innovative solutions in the evolving world of collectibles and NFTs.
Mika T. completed their education in a chronological order. They began their educational journey in 1997 at Nurmeksen lukio, studying an unspecified field of study. From 2002 to 2007, Mika pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science at the University of Helsinki. Following their master's degree, from 2007 to 2013, Mika continued their studies at the University of Helsinki and successfully obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science.
