Maria Pikanina

Maria Pikanina (Tkach) is a seasoned legal and compliance professional with over 15 years of experience across various industries, including oil & gas, gas turbine, and telecommunications. Currently serving as Legal Manager and Head of Legal at Sulzer since November 2010, Maria has been instrumental in establishing the legal department in the region from the ground up. Prior to this role, Maria held positions at Sitronics Telecom Solutions as a Contract Manager, overseeing complex sales contracts and risk assessments, as well as at Alcatel-Lucent in a similar capacity, managing contract negotiations and compliance. Maria began a career in project management at FORATEC, where responsibilities included contract drafting and logistics coordination. Academic credentials include a degree from the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia and advanced studies at the Moscow State Academy of Laws.
