Andy Waddel has extensive work experience in program management and acquisition. Andy began their career as a Guest Service Host at WEHRENBERG THEATRES from May 2004 to June 2006. Andy then served as a Cadet at the United States Air Force Academy from June 2006 to May 2010.
After graduating from the academy, Andy joined the United States Air Force as an Active Duty Officer and Acquisition Program Manager. Andy held this role from May 2010 to August 2017, where they led a multi-functional team and managed the cost, schedule, and performance of various weapon systems.
In September 2017, Andy joined Sumaria Systems, Inc. as a Senior Acquisition Program Manager and worked there until February 2018. Andy then returned to the United States Air Force as a Government Acquisition Program Manager from February 2018 to September 2018, where they focused on training research.
Andy rejoined Sumaria Systems, Inc. in October 2018 and continued to serve as a Senior Acquisition Program Manager until the present. Specifically, their work has involved managing acquisition programs related to government training research.
Andy Waddel obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management from the United States Air Force Academy, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Andy then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Southern New Hampshire University, completing their studies from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, they obtained two certifications in Program Management from the Defense Acquisition University. In August 2012, they obtained the DAWIA Level 1 Program Management certification, and in August 2013, they obtained the DAWIA Level 2 Program Management certification.
