Nilton Picinato

Nilton Picinato has a diverse and extensive work experience in the agricultural industry. Nilton currently serves as the LATAM Strategic Alliances & Business Development Lead at Sumitomo Chemical Latin America since April 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Nufarm where they held various roles including Global Insecticide Lead from September 2018 to April 2020 and Product and Project Manager - LATAM from June 2016 to August 2018.

Before joining Nufarm, Nilton worked at DuPont for a significant part of their career. At DuPont, they held several positions, including Fungicides Global Technical Product Manager in Research and Development (R&D) from 2013 to 2016. Nilton was responsible for various technical aspects related to DuPont's commercial fungicides globally and served as a liaison between R&D and other areas such as business, operations, registration, and legal.

Nilton also served as the Global Registration and Regulatory Affairs Manager at DuPont from 2011 to 2013. In this role, they were responsible for the global registration of DuPont Crop Protection Chemicals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Nilton managed a team of 20 direct reports and provided strategic guidance to regional registration partners.

Furthermore, Nilton held the position of Technology Manager in R&D, Registration, and Regulatory Affairs at DuPont from 2006 to 2011. Nilton led the Crop Protection Products R&D Organization in Brazil, overseeing the Registration and Regulatory Affairs Organizations. Additionally, they were responsible for the strategic plan development and implementation for the insecticide portfolio in Latin America.

Earlier in their career, Nilton served as an Insecticides Product Manager and Six Sigma Black Belt at DuPont, among other roles. Nilton has a proven track record of success, with notable accomplishments such as achieving over $1 million in yearly recurrent pre-tax operating income and leading projects for product introduction in various markets.

Nilton Picinato has a diverse education history. Nilton obtained a degree in Agronomy from USP - Universidade de São Paulo in 1995, and later pursued an MBA in Business Administration from the same university, completing it in 1999. In 2005, they attended FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas for a course on Strategic Marketing Process. In 2006, they attended Ibmec for a course on Strategic Thinking. Nilton also briefly attended Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 2010 for studies in Business. Additionally, they participated in an On Farm Training program offered by the International Farm Aid Association in 1993-1994.
