Carl Schumann is an experienced educator and designer with a diverse background in art and graphic design. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Middlesex Community College and Sacred Heart University, Carl teaches courses such as Graphic Design Two and Art Appreciation, among others. Additionally, Carl holds a position at the Summer Institute for the Gifted and previously taught at the University of New Haven. With a significant tenure at Gibbs College as Program Director and Full-Time Professor, Carl successfully grew the Visual Communication Program from twelve to nearly five hundred students in four years. Earlier experience includes instructing photography and basic art at Brien McMahon High School and serving as Creative Director/Designer at Schumann Design. Carl holds a dual master's degree in Art Education and Elementary Education from the University of Bridgeport, a BFA in Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts, and an Associate of Arts from Nassau Community College.
