Sean Peterson

Sean Peterson has a strong background in healthcare administration and leadership. Sean began their career as a Volker Blankenstein Service Fellow at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in 2013. In 2015, they worked as an Operations and Leadership Development Intern at Acadia Healthcare. Peterson then joined Acadia Healthcare as a CEO In Training in 2016, and went on to hold various CEO positions at RiverWoods Behavioral Health, San Jose Behavioral Health, and Johnstown Heights Behavioral Health. In 2022, Peterson became the Group Chief Executive Officer at Acadia Healthcare before transitioning to their current role as the Senior Director of Strategic Operations and Implementation at Summit BHC in 2023.

Sean Peterson has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on healthcare, finance, and strategy from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management. Prior to that, they attended University College Dublin where they studied biological and physical sciences. Sean also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in biological sciences from the University of Notre Dame. Sean completed their high school education at Jesuit High Sacramento.
