Matt Bales

Matt Bales has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. In 2015, they worked at Blue Cross NC as an Advocacy and Political Strategy Manager until 2017. From 2017 to 2019, they served as the House Caucus Political Director at the North Carolina Republican Party. In 2019, they joined Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, LLP as a Government Relations Advisor and worked there until 2020. From 2014 to 2020, Matt was the Managing Partner at Bellwether Insights. Currently, they hold positions at Summit Design and Engineering Services, where they started as the Director of Engagement & Advocacy in 2020 and then became the Director of Strategic Initiatives in 2022.

Matt Bales attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2003 to 2007. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government.
