Greg Hurst

Greg Hurst has extensive experience in risk management and insurance. Greg currently serves as the Corporate Director of Risk Management & Insurance at Summit Materials, a position they have held since 2024. Prior to that, they worked at Argos USA, where they held various roles, including Director of Risk Management & Insurance and Sr. Manager of Risk Management. In these positions, they managed all aspects of risk management for US operations, focusing on high-exposure business segments and implementing loss control/mitigation efforts. Greg also served as the Risk Manager and Claims Manager, overseeing enterprise risk management programs and insurance and claim programs for the company. Before joining Argos USA, Greg worked as a Claims Advocate at Artex Risk Solutions and a Senior Claims Adjuster at Marriott Claims Services.

Greg Hurst, J.M., ARM, AIC has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Risk Management and Insurance from The University of Georgia, obtained from 1999 to 2002. Greg also holds multiple certifications from the Insurance Institute of America, including an Associate in Claims Management degree obtained in 2014, an Associate in Risk Management degree obtained in 2010, and an Associate in Claims degree obtained in 2009. Currently, they are pursuing a Juris Master - American Law degree at Liberty University from 2020 to 2022.
