Debbie Boyle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, both from the University of Pittsburgh. She became a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania in 1986. Debbie’s professional experience has seen her in numerous fiscal and accounting positions. She owned and operated a sole practitioner accounting firm in Philadelphia from 1991-1996. Debbie joined Weseloh Carney & Co. in East Stroudsburg in 1998 as a Supervising Accountant and retired from the firm in 2017 as a partner.
Known for her wealth of knowledge, quick wit, dry sense of humor, and big heart, Debbie has long been sought out and relied upon for accounting advice by many local nonprofit organizations in Monroe County.
Debbie has served on nonprofit boards since 1978, most often as an officer, at organizations in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Monroe County, and on statewide organizations as appointed by the governor.
In addition to Summit School of the Poconos, she currently also serves as a board member for Hamlet Property Owners Association, Barrett Friendly Library, Friendly Community Center, and Women’s Resources. She is a past board member for RSVP Foundation and the Children’s Advocacy Center.
Debbie served as the CPA to Summit School of the Poconos upon the School’s inception and up to her retirement. Her belief in the mission of Summit School along with her expertise positions her as a strong member of their team.
In her free time, Debbie enjoys hiking and reading. She resides in Canadensis.
