Amanda Walker

Amanda Walker, CPXP, BSN has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Amanda currently holds the role of Chief Operating Officer at Summit SD since July 2021. Prior to this, they served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Patient Experience at Heritage Biologics from April 2016 to March 2021. During their time at Heritage Biologics, they also held the position of National Nurse Educator from June 2015 to April 2016. Before joining Heritage Biologics, Amanda worked at The University of Kansas Hospital, where they served as a Clinical Nurse Educator and had responsibilities such as orienting and educating new nursing staff, managing competencies, and planning orientations. Amanda also worked as a Hematology/Oncology/Blood & Marrow Transplant RN and a Mother/baby and Full Term Nursery RN during their time at the hospital. Overall, Amanda has a diverse background in healthcare leadership, patient experience, and nursing education.

Amanda Walker, CPXP, BSN completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Avila University in 2011. Prior to that, they studied Life Sciences/Pre-Nursing at Kansas State University from 2006 to 2009. In 2016, they obtained the certification of Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) from the Patient Experience Institute.
