Steve Majerus-Collins

Steve Majerus-Collins is an experienced journalist and educator with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving as the State House Reporter for the Sun Journal since October 2016, Steve covers Maine's state government, politics, and history. As the co-founder and President of the Board of Directors for Youth Journalism International, Steve is dedicated to educating young people about journalism and promoting a free press. Previous roles include serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at Manchester Community College, a Senior Staff Writer at The Bristol Press, and contributing as a freelance journalist for CT News Junkie. Steve's foundational work includes co-founding ReadTheTattoo.com, the world's largest teen-written newspaper, and teaching journalism and English courses at Tunxis Community College. Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia.
